Actor Yoon Si-yoon has joined the cast of the SBS variety show, “My Little Old Boy,” captivating audiences by revealing his home and private life in-depth for the first time. His meticulous daily routines have earned him nicknames like the “King of Alarms,” “King of Planning,” “King of Cleaning,” “King of Organizing,” “King of Car Washes,” “King of Self-Control,” and “King of Effort.” Among his many impressive habits, his method of planning an entire month’s wardrobe has garnered significant attention. Inside Yoon Si-yoon’s game room lies another meticulously organized space: his closet. There, clothes are perfectly sorted by type and color. Yoon Si-yoon: “I want my closet to feel like a boutique. To maintain that, you can’t have too many clothes. Each item needs its own space so they don’t touch (gesturing to the evenly spaced clothes). There’s a set maximum number of hangers. If I run out of hangers? That means it’s time to downsize my wardrobe.” Yoon then spread out his accessory case and clothes in the living room. Yoon Si-yoon: “Let’s plan for June.” His calendar for May was already filled with photos of his outfits, with every single day, including days off, planned in advance. Producer: “Are you very interested in fashion?” Yoon Si-yoon: “No. I’ve even been on a ‘worst-dressed’ list before. As I approach my 40s, I want to evolve my style, and I feel I need to challenge myself with clothes that are outside of my comfort zone, even for daily wear. But since I’m not interested in fashion, don’t dress well, and lack confidence, I decided it’s better to consult with my stylist to plan a month of outfits in advance. Then I just wear them according to the plan.” His phone contains the looks coordinated with his stylist. Today is the day he tries on the outfits for June. The June 1st outfit is an all-black look for a date with his mother. After trying it on, he takes a photo to document it. Yoon chooses his own accessories. For this look, he picks two pearl necklaces. He even adds a pearl bracelet, creating a “too-much” look adorned with pearls. The next outfit is a black jacket with white pants, again styled with two pearl necklaces. Producer: “What is your favorite accessory?” Yoon Si-yoon: “Pearls! I really like pearls. They have a wholesome feel. I like a retro vibe, and pearls perfectly capture that. I love them.” His accessory box is filled to the brim with pearls. A pearl necklace with a black jumper. A pearl necklace with a white shirt. A pearl necklace with a leather jacket. A pearl necklace with a blue shirt. He is a man who is truly passionate about pearls. After confirming the outfits, he begins to write something down. Yoon Si-yoon: “I can also wear this white outfit in Singapore, so I’ll wear this as my airport fashion.” He records each outfit on the calendar. For script readings, I’ll mostly wear suits. I’ll wear a white t-shirt to the baseball game. For the first rehearsal… When I visit my grandmother… When I meet my mom… With all his daily outfits coordinated, his June wardrobe plan is complete. Actor Choi Jin-hyuk’s Mother: “I think he’s the first celebrity I’ve ever seen who plans their clothes for an entire month.” He then takes something out of a drawer. He places a t-shirt on it and folds it perfectly. He manages his t-shirts with the care of a retail store, keeping each one pristine. The neatly folded shirt is returned to its exact original spot in the closet. He adjusts the spacing between the shirts to be perfectly uniform and finishes by lightly spraying a fabric freshener. Singer Kang Daniel: “I’m curious what it would be like. I’d actually like to try living by his routine.”
